(Endiandra palmerstonii)
1. Origin Coastal Tablelands of North Queensland. Supply now very limited due to World Heritage listings of areas of growth.
2. Description: Grey Brown with streaks of Chocolate Brown Black or Pink. Close grained, sometimes wavy. The range of figure effects is wide.

3. Uses Many decorative uses including furniture, turnery and office fixtures.
4. Working Properties ( various authorities comments) * Not a true Walnut (also known as "Black Walnut" ).
* Heavier, harder and more brittle than American Black Walnut.
* Firm, hard to cut, very fine textured with occasional slight wave differentiating the usual straight grain.
* Hard to dress but takes a glossy finish.
* Has more silica than the average timber
