2. Description: Indian " Pink ", silken sheen with a Russet Satin like trace of soft markings on its longitudinal surface and minute Russet laddering of ray bars on the radial section.

3. Uses An unusual firm type of cabinet wood. Used for furniture and cabinet work. Feature boards give the illusion of satin in both sheen and figuring. Turnings and panel work. Flooring.

* Takes glue and stain well
* Becoming rare to obtain (first class boards entails getting a lot of second class boards)
* Planes to a smooth finish.
