(Araucaria Angustifolia)
1. Origin Brazil. Paraguay . Argentina.
2. Description: Yellow to Brown species with some Orange streaks.
Texture fine and uniform. Grain straight. One of the few
woods that are not acidic. ( at times it can give an
alkaline reaction). Pink knots common in some boards.

3. Uses Internal joinery, turnery, shelving, coffins and plywood.
4. Working
Properties ( various authorities comments)
* Usually easy to work but some material is full of
stresses and might distort during work.
* Glues and finishes well.
* Care is need in nailing - pre boring is desirable
