NYATOH:
Very popular as a fine furniture timber but also has many other
uses including boat decking flooring and outdoor furniture. The colour
varies from pale pink to reddish brown.

EASTERN MAHOGANY:
A
tough hard heavy timber with
an attractive grain with many uses including

IROKO :
Regarded by many as an excellent
substitute for Teak when strength durability, stability and
appearance are an issue, particularly in boat building or with exposure to
weather. Also used indoors for counters, laboratory bench tops and fine
cabinet furniture. Light Gold to dark brown in colour.

JARRAH
:
Uniquely Australian timber having a rich Red Brown colour with high
durability and strength. The many uses include outdoor furniture,
heavy construction, boat building and all marine work. Also becoming very
popular as a high class indoor furniture timber.

AMOORA:
This is a light to medium construction timber with many uses
indoors and outdoors including flooring, outdoor furniture, boat decking,
canoe paddles, planking, window frames and joinery. The colour is pink
brown to red brown
and
the timber is of the Mahogany family (a Meliacaea).

AFRICAN ROSEWOOD
(
This attractive timber is blood red in colour when first dressed,
toning down to a dark purple-brown with
Black streaks. It has high strength properties, durability,
and outstanding stability, making it ideal for many uses of an indoor and
outdoor nature, which again demonstrates the high durability for the
timber. It is also used for paddles and oars.

RED GUM:
Strong hard and heavy timber, reddish brown in colour with
fiddleback often produced
by
the interlocking
grain. Gum veins common. Suitable
for outdoor use, heavy indoor and
outdoor furniture, flooring, posts, sills decorative turning and
for
many
other uses when durability is important.

BOX:
A very hard very strong and durable timber with a fine, close
interlocked grain.
The colour is dark reddish brown
and uses include constructional work in
building and bridges, poles, paving and wagon building. The timber
is attractive
and features
fiddleback due to the interlocking grain.
