Also known as "Samrong"

1 Origin                               Malaysia.

2 Description:               Soft to moderately heavy, Yellow to Buff Brown coloured

                                                hardwood. Texture is slightly coarse and uneven due to 

                                                broad rays and wide layers.

3. Uses                               The very attractive figure makes this timber suitable for

                                              internal finishing  ( AFT have it in 5" x 0.5" wall lining 

                                              boards for this purpose) in both Shiplap and TGVJ.

4. Working 

                  Properties     ( various authorities comments)

                                                      *  As we have pre - machined Lining Boards only sawing 

                                                         and polishing are relevant.

                                                      *  Cross cut sawing is easy.

                                                      *  The timber takes polish and finishes well.
