2. Description: Red to Dark Red, coarse grained timber form the East Coast.
Grain can be interlocked giving a "fiddleback " look. Readily

( bridges and wharves), fencing, landscaping, railway
sleepers, joinery, turnery, outdoor furniture, boat building,
( keel and framing components, planking), coach and carriage
building.

* Very durable and highly resistant to decay in
contact with the ground or in wet conditions.
* Very hard and the interlocked grain makes it
difficult to dress cleanly on the radial surface.
* For gluing ensure that all surface preparation work
is done immediately before gluing.
* Readily
accepts stain, polish and paint
