Fine even texture Dark Brown to Black with Light Brown streaks Weight (kg / m3 ) 1040 kg/m3 (lbs / ft3) 65 lbs /ft3 3. Uses Used in the finest cabinet and inlay work. Turning, brushbacks, walking sticks, musical instruments, billiard cue butts and the sapwood is used for tool handles 4. Working Properties ( various authorities comments) * Very difficult to work * Extreme blunting of cutters * Per bore for nailing * Unsuitable for gluing * Accepts finishes very well * Very expensive Specifications / Sizes generally stocked: Thickness: 1.5" to 4" ( 38mm to 100mm )
