1. Origin                       Malaysia

2. Description:                Non durable in contact with ground. Light to medium

                                                hardwood. Varies form  Straw coloured with a Pink tinge to

                                                light Brown and its heartwood has a  Red-Brown and Yellow -

                                                Brown colour. Some  boards have a distinctive aromatic

                                                aroma. Interlocked grain.

3. Uses                              Decorative work and internal fittings, furniture, bowls,

                                                 platters, trays and fancy boxes.

                                                    *  Easy to cross cut, plane, saw, and re saw.

                                                    *  Finishes are smooth in planning, boring and turnery.

                                                    *  Excellent tolerance to splitting when nailing.

                                                    *  Also carves well.
