1. Origin :                        Newcastle ( N.S.W) to Maryborough (QLD) in wet forests.

2. Description:                    Grey to Brown in colour, smooth and Copper Brown to

                                                  Pink on the upper trunk and main branches.

                                                  *  Hard ( 2 on a 6 class scale )  

                                                  *  Can be abrasive to machine and hand tools due to silica 

                                                      in wood .  

                                                 *   No difficulty with fixing but gluing should be done

                                                      immediately after surface preparation.  

                                                  *  Readily accepts stain, polish and paint
